great questions! my tarantula’s name is aminoire so i will refer to her as such haha. i never really have been afraid of spiders. i hate most other bugs so i always felt safe knowing the spiders would take care of other nasty critters lolz. aminoire is fuzzy.  she is a pinktoe tarantula, therefore she is a new world arboreal spider.  what that means is 1) she is new world so she will shoot urticating hairs at you if she feels threatened. old world spiders don’t have urticating hairs so their first form of defense is usually to bite. aminoire has never even shot hairs at me though. and 2) she is arboreal so she prefers climbing up trees and things as opposed to terrestrial tarantulas who prefer floor space.  she does sit on me when i take her out. she crawls up my arm and rests on me.  pinktoes are fast though so i’m sure if she wanted to take off i would have trouble catching her. ;p xx
